Why a member fee?
For a number of reasons;
1. Rick taught hands on cooking classes for years
and he knows the best way to learn is to see how it's done, quickly.
The Black Sheep Cooking Club's how to videos are not staged or "show" recipes,
they are
some of the best "reality" demonstrations
because you see the actual dishes as they are made and served
to real people.
Rick
says, "Ihe real look, in
a real, working kitchen." Video editing and production thakes time
and money.
2. No banner ads, and no commercials (those annoying
15 to 30 sec ads before you see what you want.) This provides a
family safe environment without distractions.
3. To keep the downloads area available to interested customers only.
4. To help cover web, office and upkeep costs.
5. You'll be a part of Rick & Diana's "Partnership giving"
by helping those in need. Rick says,"of all the things
Diana and I have been able to do over the last 30+ years together,
I'd have to say, that knowing
we've participated in providing a meal to one who would have gone
without, or a wheelchair to
person
who has
no
use
of
their
legs, or clean water to a village where there is none,
these are the things that make us rich beyond any material wealth." For
club members, Rick puts it this way, "I'll teach you to cook and you
can help me help some
of those less fortunate." More on this in the future.
blacksheepcookingclub.com -
Let's start with fun with food & wine. Chef Rick's goal is to show
you how to cook! In 2006, he started shooting every dish served in
their restaurant,
The Black Sheep Bistro
in Tustin California. Using that as a starting point he has the base
for hundreds of "phantom chef" videos where you see exactly
how a dish is put together from start to finish. It's not a show, there's
little to
no eye contact and stupid jokes, it's as if you were standing next to
the chef to see exactly how a dish is put together. It shows the close
ups of the products not
the people preparing it. It's how all professional chef's learned to
cook, by actually watching a mentor every step of the way.
Rick swears,
"it's
the best
way for
most
people to
learn
how to cook." They already have 3 DVD's already available at Amazon.com
, with more to come. For more see The
Store
Part 2 of the cooking series will be
sharing a vast array of cooking styles, secrets, sources and more
on the blacksheepcookingclub.com
web site all shot at Chef Rick's home using the same equipment most people
at home use. Soon, they will begin shooting the dishes other
restaurants they like to visit. That and more of their 35+ years
of professional
restaurant
experience
in simple downloadable videos, PDF books and pictures.
With your membership, you'll not only
learn you to cook, they'll share their other unique web sites;
justgoodfun.net - Our catch all
that will include other hobbies and fun; surfing with old style wood
boards and how to make them
by hand, collecting sea glass and making jewelry from it, fencing (with
swords) and more. Eventually Rick hopes to get Diana involved with a
number of her skills!
inhisimage.us.com - Here's an
area where Rick says Diana really shines. When he first met Diana,
even before they were married, he
was impressed
with
her skills
with a camera. On this site you will have at your fingertip thousands
of photographs free for the using. Travel, nature, animals, flowers and
so much more. A favorite section is Diana's "Beach Art" department
where she
has
let the ocean waves make thousands of incredible designs using all kinds
of shells, sea weed, rocks and more.
theravendiaries.com - Rick's love for all things living
portrayed through the relationships and lives of ravens and those
he shares the planet
with. You'll soon see that it's through The Raven Diaries that Rick's
passion for our National, State, County and City Parks comes in.
"If you like what you see, please join us and
tell others. We'll teach you to cook and more, and who knows, maybe
together we can
make a difference."
Thank you,
Rick and Diana Boufford
